Thank you for your continued support.

We have a couple of really exciting culinary announcements attached to this week’s broadcast.

We had great success over Mother’s Day with not only prepared meals ready to heat and serve, but also in our gift basket campaign. This is a new direction for us and we will continue to grow this service for Father’s Day but also get you thinking of us for a general thank you basket, get well basket, or customized professional corporate basket.

My commute to and from the Club these days has been spent trying to think what I would want in my basket if my daughter gave one to me. It also then reminded me of my childhood, and something that, as a family we would do each year. We would all go to a meat packing plant in Niagara and box a side of beef. Between my grandparents, aunts, uncles and our household we sectioned a cow, wrapped the various parts in butcher paper and divided proportionately. We had beef to fill our freezer and enjoy all year. I got to thinking how cool it would be to offer shares of a cow and fill the freezers of our membership for awesome grilling all summer long.

We are thinking of efficient ways to enjoy the summer. Working together we can benefit from a bulk purchase of a hand selected cow, break it down, vacuum pack and freeze the various prime cuts and also learn to enjoy some of the other working muscles.

In addition to filling a basket with beef shares, we will also be featuring a culinary basket made of manly homemade treats or The CV Basket adding a Cali Cab and a CV Hat! For the Father’s Day gift boxes poster, please click here.

Another exciting option starting this week is our ‘Backyard Ready’ campaign: a full menu made of meats and fish ready for the grill; salads and sauces for easy accompaniment; and, access to our sourced brioche buns and sour dough breads so you can make your own sandwiches for lunch pre or post golf.

We recognize that value on the plate has always been an important part of what we offer from the restaurant at CV. In launching our freezer program as COVID-19 started to take hold, that was top of mind. In evolving to being able to offer the expanded fresh menu we serve currently, it continues to be a high priority; matched by wanting to make our choices fresh and sometimes a little unique and different from anywhere else. Our ‘backyard ready’ campaign gives you a little more control and flexibility in when and how you prepare your meals while still allowing us to be a part of your summer. Subsequently, since you are doing the final touches, we can give you a break on the bill! To see the full BBQ Ready poster (2 pages), please click here.

We have all made changes to our habits. We have all made adjustments. And I think for the most part, we are making the best of this new and always changing situation. So this is us, continuing to go with the flow, not getting carried away but trying to enjoy the ride. We wish you safety and good health.
