More Than a Club: How Credit Valley Cares

Over five decades and $2 million raised, the spirit of generosity at Credit Valley isn't an add-on; it's at the heart of what makes this place worth belonging to.

At Credit Valley, care for the community is not separate from club life — it's woven into it. For more than fifty years, members have supported their neighbours through shared effort and quiet generosity, raising over $2 million to fund hospice beds, food delivery programs, hospital equipment, and countless hours of care.

This is not charity as obligation. It is stewardship as practice.

How it works

Two Events, One Tradition

Each year, members select a charitable focus and rally around it through two long-standing events that have become a cornerstone of club life.

Liz Ferrier Memorial Charity Pro-Am

A beloved annual event turning friendly competition into community contribution.

Al Balding Memorial Classic

A storied tournament that honours Credit Valley's legacy and gives back to those in need.

Together, they turn competition into contribution, and remind us that the game is a vehicle for something larger.

Current focus

Supporting Food Banks Mississauga in 2026

In 2025, members and partners raised more than $300,000 for Food Banks Mississauga to purchase a 26-foot refrigerated truck and help expand the Food to Home program to ensure vulnerable neighbours have consistent access to food.

“For many families, this support is not supplemental — it’s essential.”

With food insecurity continuing to rise across the region, Credit Valley is once again supporting Food Banks Mississauga in 2026, with a renewed focus on fresh food access and sustained delivery. The work continues because the need persists.

Recent impact

A Legacy of Care for the Community

In recent years, members have raised more than $700,000 for Hospice Mississauga and $116,000 for Trillium Health Partners — supporting end-of-life care, community health programs, and services that sustain neighbours when they need it most.

Over the past five decades, Credit Valley members have also supported:

Alzheimer's Society of Peel Big Brothers Big Sisters of Peel Kidney Foundation of Canada Canadian Cancer Society United Way Wellspring

This work is sustained by the generosity of members — year after year, generation after generation.

The game brings us together. Our shared values carry us beyond the course.
